First phase construction of the boulevard was completed in conjunction with the village of Richfield’s village hall and police and fire services prior to 2005. New improvements anticipated will complete the connection between Streetsboro and Broadview Roads with a 1/3 mile extension. Active recreation elements include a connection to existing ballfields to the east and a new basketball, natural play area and tennis courts to the west. The boulevard will include a bike lane and bridge. New work will include linkages to the Carter Pedigo trail system that I designed while with another firm in 2012. The trail system was aligned in anticipation of the future road extension.
