Memorial plaza for the veterans and residents of Russell Township in Geauga County, Ohio. The plaza includes memorial stones for five branches of the military with the name of the branch engraved into granite blocks. A central plaza area is flanked by two walkways that will allow for a procession into the plaza. The memorial is centered on a large mature red maple that overlooks Russell’s Riverview Cemetery. A solar panel with battery backup will be used to provide power for a flagpole uplight. Garden to be constructed in 2019.

Plans for a larger community park adjacent to the Russell police and fire stations were completed in 2017.
